Once again, Canada’s women’s hockey team made it to the finals and will compete for the Olympic gold medal. Canada beat Switzerland in the semifinals 10-3 on Monday in Beijing. Marie-Philip Poulin scored twice and Sarah Nurse had a four-point game. Nurse leads the tournament in scoring with 16 points.

After the match Nurse said “I know going to the championship, we will have to tighten some things up defensively,” Canada will face off against the winner of the semifinal between the United States and Finland. Canada’s Brad Gushue’s rink is on a winning streak after beating Italy on Monday in curling.

The win put him in third place and his next match is against China on Monday at 8:05 p.m. ET. Gushue explained that “all of our remaining games are going to be big. We don’t want to get into that three-loss situation,… We want to control our own fate. We know that if we can win the rest of our games we’re going to get to the playoffs.”
