Mattea Roach seals her 21st Jeopardy win with the final question being about Canada’s national anthem. The 23-year-old tutor born in Nova Scotia holds the record for the longest winning streak of any Canadian on the quiz show. She entered her 21st Final Jeopardy with $24,600 after blowing away her competition.

Roach had 17 correct answers and made a strategic bet of $2,000 on a Daily Double. The two competitors, Enver Casimir of California and Angela Kissner of Ohio, were behind by $9,800 and $600, respectively. Even with the lead, Roach must’ve felt confident after hearing the final clue of the game.

The clue was “‘Terre de nos aïeux’ follows the title in the French version of this anthem .” Before Roach could answer with “O Canada ”, host Ken Jennings chuckled and said Final Jeopardy clues are written weeks or months ahead of time and are randomly selected.
