    Canelo Alvarez became the undisputed super middleweight champion of the world after defeating Caleb Plant. Alvarez added another achievement to his list of boxing accomplishments with a massive barrage of punches in the final minutes of an incredible fight. On Saturday night. Alvarez became the first four-belt world champion at 168 pounds in boxing history.

    Alvarez’s record now stands at 57-1-2, with 39 of the wins being decided by knockout. He took Plant’s IBF title to his own WBC, WBA, and WBO belts. The fight happened in the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday night where Alvarez displayed a tactical performance with a powerful finish.

    Alvarez commented on the fight saying “It was truly a historic night, and I’m so proud to be a part of it,” Canelo has been known as the top fighter in the world despite the weight class. The superstar won four fights in an 11-month span becoming the sixth man to be a four-belt champion.
