Images being released on Tuesday could reveal an atmosphere around an exoplanet and some of the universe’s earliest solar systems. It was roughly 13.8 billion years ago when everything we’ve come to know and understand was born.

Most people consider this event as the Big Bang, the creation of our universe. However, it took over billions of years for it to transform from a place of high density and temperature, to quick expanistoon and then cooling. This eventually allowed the simplest of elements to form like hydrogen and helium.

On Tuesday, the most powerful telescope ever constructed will help look back into the beginning of time. It will trace humanities roots by peering through gas and dust, and will shed light on what we have not been able to see. Some scientists believe it may reveal an atmosphere around an exoplanet.
