Basketball superstar LeBron James was placed in the NBA’s health and safety protocols, which ruled him out of the game last night against. This means one of two things, either James tested positive for COVID-19 or had an inconclusive result. James said earlier this season that he is fully vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.

If he did test positive, he would likely be unable to play for the next 10 days unless he returns two negative PCR tests within a 24-hour span. Coach Frank Vogel said the team learned of his situation Tuesday morning. Since then they arranged transportation to take him back to Los Angeles from Sacramento.

The coach did not explain if James was experiencing any symptoms. This recent news comes the same day as the NBA started recommending coaches and p[layers who are vaccinated to receive a booster shot as quickly as possible. The league said that roughly 97 per cent of eh players are fully vaccinated.
