Mattea Roach seals her 23rd Jeopardy win with the final question being about 20th century cinema on Thursday. The 23-year-old tutor born in Nova Scotia holds the record for the longest winning streak of any Canadian on the quiz show. She went into Final Jeopardy with $13,000 and has answered 633 correct answers so far.

Roach has now accumulated $560,983 US, or approximately $720,105 Cdn. The two competitors, Sarah Snider from Indiana made it to the final round and T.J. Lovejoy did not make it to the last round.

The final clue was “A black & white newsreel in this film begins: ‘In Xanadu did Kubla Khan a stately pleasure dome decree.” Roach managed to guess “What is Citizen Kane?” and was the only one with the correct answer. She is now in sixth place among Jeopardy champions and has only answered 59 questions incorrectly.
