    Environment Canada has forecasted 15 to 25 cm of snow from Thursday afternoon through Friday morning. The snowfall warning released by the federal weather agency said there will be a “messy mix of wintry precipitation” According to Environment Canada, there will be reduced visibility when the snow is heavy and blowing.

    Surfaces will also become icy and slippery making hazardous driving conditions. Environment Canada said that rain will begin Wednesday night and turn to snow Thursday afternoon. Also, freezing rain and ice pellets are possible Thursday morning and afternoon. 

    Peter Kimbell, a warning preparedness meteorologist with Environment Canada said  “if you can avoid travel when the winter precipitation starts, far better because it’s going to be difficult getting through all the snow and freezing rain,”
