Ontario tries to speed up the pandemic response by hiring 98 more labour inspectors.

As part of efforts to help prevent the coronavirus spread, Ontario announced that it would hire 98 new labour inspectors.

According to Labour Minister Monte McNaughton, the government will start to recruit new workers in October, increasing the number of government inspectors from 409 to 507 and will cost a total of $11.6 million.

Acquiring new inspectors will allow the government to respond to situations that may arise during the pandemic a lot faster.
