Ontario’s State of Emergency to be Extended

Ontario’s state of emergency, which began at the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, is currently set to expire on July 15th. The government is expected to table a motion which extends the state of emergency another 7 days to July 24th.

The Premier’s office seeks to make sure there is no gap between the state of emergency and when a new bill addressing the coronavirus pandemic is expected to take effect, CP24 reports.
