Ottawa Business Coalition Requests Province to Review Restrictions

The Ottawa Coalition of Business Improvement Areas, a group representing businesses in Ottawa, asks the premier for a meeting about the province’s decision to close down COVID-19 hot spots.

Dine-in restaurants, bars, gyms, movie theatres, and casinos were forced to return to Stage 2 pandemic restrictions for at least 28 days after the province ordered Ottawa, Toronto, and Peel regions to close down certain hot spots over the weekend.

On Monday, the OCOBIA penned an open letter, asking the province to review its decision and tailor Ottawa’s restrictions based on Ottawa Public Health’s recommendations for the city.
