Toronto’s top doctor recommends more restrictions for restaurants and bars

As Ontario begins its second wave of COVID-19, Toronto’s medical officer of health calls on the council to enforce more restaurants and bars’ restrictions.

On Wednesday, Doctor Eileen de Villa will address the council, making some recommendations to change the limit of people allowed at bars and restaurants from 100 to 75.

De Villa is also recommending music to be lowered to conversational levels in order to collect contact information from each patron that comes in to dine or drink.

Mayor Tory fully supports the recommendations.
