Virtual learning has an abrupt learning curve as new cases increase

Many parents are having trouble deciding to either have their kids go to school remotely or send their kids physically back to school. 

Just a couple of weeks into the new school year, many families are looking to switch from in-person to virtual learning now that the provinces are seeing a rise in new COVID-19 cases. 

The Toronto District School Board has about 250,000 students, and 70,000 of its students choose virtual school this fall. 

The high number of students enrolling in virtual learning delayed the start of the program two times, and it’s expected to spark yet another major reorganization of classes this fall.
