The Toronto Raptors will be missing their all-star guard Fred VanVleet in the lineup for Monday’s playoff game with the Philadelphia 76ers. He has been ruled out of Game 5 with a stained left hip flexor. The raptors are trailing in the series 3-1 in the best-of-seven opening-round playoffs series and need to win to avoid elimination.

VanVleet played under 15 minutes of Toronto’s last game on Saturday, and limped off the court in frustration. The guard averaged 20.3 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game this season and was named an All-Star for the first time. VanVleet has missed 13 games down the stretch with a bruised right knee.

This series if the first Raptors playoff action at the Scotiabank Arena since the 2019 championship run. Toronto dispatched the Sixers in seven games in the conference semifinals last year.
