    COVID-19 is spreading actively in parts of Ontario due to social gatherings, but there are no plans to reduce the 50 person limit for indoor gatherings. 

    On Thursday, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams explained that there seems to be some confusion when it comes to social gatherings, “It doesn’t mean you just go and randomly carry on with everyone,” said Williams, “You can’t do that.”  

    The current regulations allow gatherings of up to 50 people in indoor gatherings and 100 people for outdoor gatherings. 

    However, people are still reminded that physical distancing applies to everyone that is not part of your social circle.
