Privacy and cybersecurity experts say Canadians affected by the cyberattacks on the Canada Revenue Agency could be susceptible to other attacks.
The director of the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity at the University of New Brunswick, Ali Ghorbani, said: “They have to be very scared if they have another account with the same password, If it doesn’t happen now, it would happen tomorrow.”
Everyone affected by the cyberattack should make the necessary changes; the potential risks shouldn’t be underestimated.
