    The coronavirus pandemic turned the rental market upside down, stifling demand while boosting supply and lowering rent prices. After years of low vacancy rates around the city, people looking to rent condos in Toronto have had a selection of units for the last three months. 

    On Wednesday, realtor Andrew Kim said: “Previously, it was rather difficult and competitive for renters to attain their desired unit, particularly in the downtown area.”
