Airbnb is cleaning up their reputation and trying to comply with COVID-19 limits on gatherings; thus, they are banning house parties worldwide. The company limits occupancy in their rental homes to only 16 people; they also informed the public that legal action would be taken against guests and hosts who violate the ban.
The company has always prohibited unauthorized parties, with 75 percent of all their listings explicitly banning parties.
