    BioNTech CEO Announces Vaccine Works on New COVID-19 Strain

    On Tuesday, the chief executive of German pharmaceutical company BioNTech announced that they are confident that its COVID-19 vaccine works against the new UK variant.

    Although there’s no indication that the new variant causes a more severe illness, it has sparked concern worldwide that it may spread more easily. 

    As a result, numerous countries in Europe have restricted travel from the UK.
