    On Monday, health officials in Ontario are reporting 2,088 new infections of COVID-19 however, the number is an estimate due to testing restrictions. Ontario has just passed over 1,000,000  lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases last week. There are at least 2,155 patients in hospitals for COVID-19 and 486 people are in intensive care units.

    As of Monday, 92.1 per cent of Ontarians over the age of 12 have one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and  89.5 per cent have two doses. The Ministry of Health says the positivity rate is at 14.2 per cent as it processed over 12,880 tests in the last 24-hour period. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the province has identified 1,056,149 lab-confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

    Since December 2020, more than 30,000,000 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the province. There were 370 new cases logged in Toronto, 137 cases in York Region, and 147 in Peel Region. The province also reported 114 cases in Windsor- Essex, 138 in Ottawa, and 91 in Hamilton.
