Environment Canada says there will be more snow as what could be one of the worst storms in decades hits Southern Manitoba and Northern Ontario. Many roads and highway closures are still in effect according to provincial transportation departments. The environment agency offers a day-by-day breakdown of what there is to expect.
Many winter storm warnings are sill in place in Manitoba but the blizzard warnings that were posted for the area have been dropped. Environment Canada says there is another 5 to 10 centimetres of snow expected in the Red River Valley, including Winnipeg, and southeastern Manitoba.
Senior meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada said “[we] may be seeing the slow decay of this storm. For northern Ontario, a mix of winter storm, freezing rain and rainfall warnings are in effect. In the Kenora area, heavy snow will most likely continue Thursday morning.
