A Toronto Tutor has won nine times in a row on Jeopardy topping over $200k. At only 23-years-old and originally from Nova Scotia became the nine-time Jeopardy! Champ on Friday night.
Roach won $28,001 US that night increasing the winning total to $210,802. The “Final Jeopardy” category of Academy Award Winners secured Roach’s victory with the clue, “In 2019 he won his first competitive Oscar, 36 years after a Student Academy Award for a film about a Brooklyn barbershop.
Roach made a bid of $6,201, and correctly wrote, “who is Spike Lee?” Roach now looks to claim her 10th win in a row on Monday.
