    Commuters in Toronto should be aware of some major closures occurring across the city this weekend. On June 11, Lake Shore Boulevard West will see multiple different closures. Westbound lanes form Strachan to Windermere Avenues will be closed to vehicles from 3:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. This will be for the Ride to Conquer Cancer cycling fundraiser. 

    Lake Shore Boulevard West between Seventh and Second Streets will be closed to vehicles from 5 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Lansdowne Avenue, from Bloor Street West to College Street will be closed to vehicles from 12:01 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Queen’s Park Crescent East and West will also close from Wellesley Street to Bloor Street West from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 11.

    On June 11 and 12 there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Lawrence and St. Clair stations due to construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. On June 12,, subway service on Line 2 between St. George and Broadview stations will begin at noon.
