As of Wednesday, Microsoft will no longer be supporting the Internet Explorer Browse. The 27-year-old browser was once the dominant browser that groups of web surfers loved to hate. The browser now joins other outdated tech like BlackBerry phones, dial-up modems and Palm Pilots.
Close to a year ago, Microsoft announced that it would be shutting down Internet Explorer on June 15, 2022. It is trying to push users to its Edge browser which was launched in 2015.
General manager of Microsoft Edge Enterprise wrote “Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, more secure and more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer, but it is also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications,”
