    As the new month begins, here are some highly anticipated Canadian books ready to make their debut. Kathy Reichs returns with her 21st novel in the bestselling mystery books featuring forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan. In this book, Tempe is caught up in a case involving a box with a human eyeball and a series of nasty killings that must be solved. You can read Cold Cold Bones, July 5, 2022. 

    Author Marie-Renee Lavoie is releasing her novel Some Maintenance Required.  It’s based in 1993 and is about a girl named Laurie in her final year of school. She works part-time at a restaurant and cares for her neglected, potty-mouthed neighbour named Cindy. She experiences a budding romance, and the main character’s eyes are opened to the more complicated world of class differences.

    On July 19, you will be able to read The Sugar Thief by Nancy Mauro. The novel has themes of comedy, melodrama, and baked goods. It revolves around Sabine Rose, a successful social media influencer who runs a baking channel and returns home to visit her family that owns an Italian bakery.
