    On Monday, the television network in the U.S. NBC said they will not air the Hollywood Golden Globes in 2022. This comes after many complaints about the lack of diversity among the group that gives out the yearly awards for film and television. 

    The complaints were brought to light earlier this year as the Los Angeles Times published an investigation into the HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association). Most of the complaints are focused on the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the group that organizes the Golden Globes.

    The newspaper brought up issues such as there were no Black people currently registered as a member of the organization. As well as longstanding ethical questions about the relationships between HFPA and movie studious that can influence Golden Globe nominee and winner choices.
