    Ottawa Public Health asks for an extra $24 million to continue to manage the additional workload caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

    On Monday, the public health agency presented its 2021 budget plan, which included $24 million to cover multiple COVID related expenses. 

    Dr. Vera Etches, Ottawa’s medical officer, said: “COVID-19 will continue to be in our community for the year, and we will continue to have to work hard to keep the level manageable.”
