    The Atlanta Braves took a 7-0 win over the Houston Astros last night to win the World Series title. The team led by Canadian General Manager Alex Anthopoulos won their first championship since 1995. When looking back to the regular season, it just seemed like this wasn’t going to be their year.

    They started off with four straight losses and then injuries began to arise. They even lost one of their most dynamic players right before the All-Star break. In August the Braves were stuck below .500 meaning they were in the bottom half of the league. Then out of nowhere the team just started to take off.

    Freddie Freeman described the season saying “We hit every pothole, every bump you could possibly hit this year… Injuries every single kind of thing that could happen, that could go wrong, went wrong, and we overcame every single one of those things.” Unfortunately, the Canadian General Manager had to watch the clincher at home as he tested positive for COVID-19
