    The Halton District School Board wrote a letter urging the education minister to stop the provinces confusing back to school plan two weeks before the first day of school. The letter focuses on several concerns, including the use of reserve funds to keep class sizes smaller, explaining that it will not be possible to hire more teachers with limited funds. 

    The Board further explains that with only $7 million in available reserves already being used for building upgrades, they would only be able to hire 78 new teachers, which is less than one per school.
