    Parents in most parts of Canada have questions about how to properly prepare their children to wear masks at school now that many of them are heading back to school ever since the coronavirus pandemic started. 

    Dr. Susy Hota, medical director for infection prevention and control at the University Health Network in Toronto, explained that it’s no surprise that parents have a lot of questions since masks aren’t a fail-safe way of preventing the spread of the coronavirus.

     

    “There’s a lot of focus on masks because it feels like something tangible that we can do,” she said. Masks are an essential piece to fight the virus from spreading, but infectious disease experts warn they’re not enough to manage outbreaks.
