    Bill Morneau, the finance minister, is faced with an ethics investigation for the decision that the federal cabinet made to grant a $19.5 million contract to the WE charity. Several of his family members work closely with the charity, including his two daughters Clare Morneau, and Grace Acan.

    Morneau was part of the deliberation and the decision making to grant the charity of a 19.5 million contract to carry out the Canada Student Service Grant, a program that rewards students for volunteering during the COVID-19 pandemic.
