The Calgary Flames won Game 7 in the first round of the NHL playoffs against the Dallas Stars. This is the Flames second time in the last 17 years making it to the second round. They won Sunday’s game 3-2 in overtime and the game-winner was scored by Johnny Gaudreau at 15:09.

He scored by collecting a rebound and shooting a sharp-angle shot over Stars goalie Jake Oettinger. The Stars goalie made 61 saves throughout the course of the game. The Flames are now set to face the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference’s semifinal. This is the first post-season Battle of Alberta since 1991.

Tyler Toffoli and Mathew Tkachuck scored their first goals of the series for the Flames. Their goalie Jacob Markstom was able to stop 26 shots and had an assist in the game. Jamie Benn and Vladislav Namestnikov scored for the Dallas Stars.
