    As COVID-19 cases remain low, now that the economy is open again, Canadian consumerism continues to climb. The Bloomberg Nanos Canadian Confidence Index, a composite measure of financial health and economic expectations, went up for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic started in March. 

    Although economic data shows a gradual recovery in consumer spending and more business activity, job security remains extremely low.
