Jobs that vanished during the beginning stages of COVID-19 are slowly coming back.
On July 10, The Statistics Canada announced that in June more than 950,000 jobs were added in the country. Although it’s only a small portion of the 3 million lost due to the lockdowns implemented in March and April, the 950,000 added is a record now that lockdowns are being lifted.
On Monday Carolyn Levy, president of the technologies division of staffing and recruitment agency Randstad Canada, informed CTVNews.ca “There’s a lot of places that are still hiring amidst all the doom and gloom that we’ve been experiencing over the past few months.”
