    The new police budget was released on Wednesday, and community policing is set to start in the suburbs.

    The new 2021 Ottawa Police Services budget includes 30 new officers, 20 of which will be NRT officers, and 5 community officers. 

    The program will focus on the city’s suburban parts and the needs of Riverside South, Kanata, Cumberland, Orleans, Bayshore, and Stittsville.
