    COVID-19 Patients in Intensive Care Units Surpasses First Wave Peak

    As concerns continue to grow around the healthcare system’s ability to fight COVID-19, there are now more patients in Ontario’s intensive care units dealing with COVID-19 than at any other points since the beginning of the pandemic. 

    According to the latest Critical Care Services Ontario report, as of December 21, there were 285 COVID-19 patients in intensive care, which exceeds the peak of the first wave.
