Experimental coronavirus vaccines have been shown to prompt a protective immune response in hundreds of people who took the vaccine, the Oxford University reports.
Back in April, English researchers first began testing the vaccine with about 1,000 people. While early trials are typically designed to evaluate safety, experts were also looking to see what kind of immune response was provoked given the extraordinary circumstances of the trials. Oxford scientists also say they found their experimental COVID-19 vaccine produced a dual immune response in people aged 18 to 55.
