English club Manchester United has completed signing a two-year deal with Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus on Tuesday. The Portuguese forward has won eight major trophies with Manchester United between 2003-2009. The club announced last week that they agreed on a deal with Juventus to bring Ronaldo back to Manchester.

The transfer fee for the trade was 15 million euros plus eight million euros in performance-related add ons. In a statement, Ronaldo said, “Manchester United is a club that has always had a special place in my heart and I have been overwhelmed by all the messages I have received since the announcement on Friday.”

Ronaldo will join his new squad after the international break and could make his first appearance on September 11. They are scheduled to host Newcastle United that day. Ronaldo was signed by Juventus in 2018 for 100 million euros from Real Madrid with the goal of securing their first Champions League title since 1996. The goal was never met but he leaves with 101 goals, two league titles, and a Coppa Italia triumph.
