On the fifth day of the competition, Canadian athletes added to the nation’s collection of medals from the Beijing Olympics. In this article, we go over some important events in the 2022 Winter Games that you may have missed overnight.

Canadian Meryeta O’Dine won a bronze medal in the snowboard cross in China on Wednesday. The gold medal went to Lindsey Jacobellis from the U.S. and the silver went to Chloé Trespeuch of France. Tess Critchlow from Canada also competed in the event but failed to make a podium finish.

Canada’s freestyle skier Even McEachran had a very impressive start to the men’s big air event. His first jump gave him 93.00 points but he, unfortunately, didn’t land his last two jumps. The figure skating team ran into some legal issues that resulted in a delay of the award ceremony. Canada ended up finishing fourth in the team’s figure skating competition.
