    On Monday, the Toronto Board of Health is meeting to consider recommendations from the city’s top doctor on paid sick days. 

    According to Dr. Eileen De Villa, chief medical officer, the pandemic has proven that paid sick leave is essential to help protect workers and the community.

    De Villa requests that employers provide workers with at least five paid sick days after three months of employment and ten days during a health emergency like the coronavirus pandemic.
