The daytime host Ellen DeGeneres is ending her long-running talk show. This comes after she has seen ratings fall from allegations of running a toxic workplace. As a result, the upcoming 19th season ending in 2022 will be her last.

The show started airing in 2003 and is distributed by Warner Bros. It’s comprised of a mix of dancing, games, giveaways, and A-list celebrities. The host is known for her brand “Be Kind” but on season 18 in September, Ellen opened with a lengthy apology.

Over the summer three of the show’s producers quit amid allegations of a dysfunctional workplace. Which also harbored misbehavior, including sexual misconduct and racially sensitive remarks. The show saw ratings start to fall and this season the viewership dropped by 1.1 million people.
