Tesla employees received a strongly worded email from Elon Musk stating they had to return to the office or leave. Prior to the email, Tesla employees used AirBnB and Ubisoft Montreal to decide where they wanted to work. The email was leaked as a screenshot on Twitter and Musk even replied to the leak.

Musk replied to the leak on Twitter and said “people who think coming into work is antiquated should pretend to work somewhere else.”  According to Reuters, Tesla executives were told to pause all hiring’s globally as the company needs to cut 10 per cent of jobs at Tesla. Currently, the company employs almost 100,000 people.

In the email leaked on Twitter, it wrote “Everyone at Tesla is required to spend a minimum of 40 hours in the office per week. Moreover, the office must be where your actual colleagues are located, not some pseudo office. If you don’t show up, we will assume you have resigned.”
