England is set to face off against Italy for the Euro 2020 final. This comes after a 2-1 victory in extra time against Denmark. Harry Kane scored the second goal for England that sealed the game in the 104th minute. Kane buried a rebound from his own penalty shot.

England will play on Sunday against Italy at the Wembley Stadium. This will England’s first final since the 1966 World Cup which was their only international title as well. Since that win, England has lost in the semifinals four times in either the World Cup or the Euro Cup. For that reason, this is a very significant event for many English soccer fans.

After the game was over, Kane energized the crowd of more than 60,000 people, making it the biggest gathering for a sporting event in Britain since the pandemic started. Players and management marched along the perimeter of the field waving at fans and loved ones. The coach of the team was even serenaded with a song to show their appreciation.
