The European Commission announced that it would sign a deal to receive 300 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech.
Ursula von der Leyen, the EU’s executive arm president, said the commission would allow the deal after working extremely hard to get doses of the vaccine.
“This is the most promising vaccine so far, and once this vaccine becomes available, our plan is to deploy it quickly, everywhere in Europe,” Leyden said.
