Four Canadians are lined up for a UFC Fight Night card on February 5 in Las Vegas. Featherweight Hakeem Dawodu is one of the four Canadian fighters, as well as middleweight Marc-Andre Barriault, flyweight Malcolm Gordon and bantamweight Alexis Davis. The main event featured Sweden’s Jack Hermansson, ranked No. 6 among his middleweight contenders, and ranked No. 7, Sean Strickland.
Dawodu will fight Micheal Tirzano while Barriault will take on Chidi Njokuani. Davis will face Julija Stoliarenko and Gordon will take on Ukraine’s Denys Bondar. Also happening in February, Canadian bantamweight CHad Anheliger will make his UFC debut against Jesse Stader. On February 26, Canadian middleweight Misha Cirkunov meets Uzbekistan’s Makhmud Muradov.
With a record of (12-2-1), Dawodu is coming off a loss by unanimous decision to Russians Movsar Evloev. The 30-year-old from Calgary was ranked 15th but dropped out of the rankings after that loss. Tirzano just improved his UFC record to 3-1-0 with a decision win during a fight in May.
