According to the Ontario Pharmacists Association, people in Ottawa are having a hard time getting the flu shot this year caused by a shortage.
On Thursday, Elizabeth Sweeney was very frustrated when the appointment she booked for her family to get the flu shot at an Ottawa Rexall Pharmacy got canceled.
Sweeney said, “We’ve called every pharmacy in Ottawa, and there aren’t any vaccines to be had, and we’re a hot spot. How can that be? I’m really frustrated.”
This kind of experience adds more stress for families who are already stressed enough with the life changes they have made due to COVID-19.
