The federal government is still recommending people avoid non-essential international travel. In Early June the Canadian government announced fully vaccinated residents could start travelling abroad and can skip quarantine upon their return home. This sparked travel enthusiasts to start packing their bags and make vacation plans.

According to the Public Health Agency of Canada, the loosened restrictions for fully vaccinated travellers due to the improved COVID-19 situation in Canada. However, the government is still advising against international travel because other countries currently have high infection rates and COVID-19 variants.
