Piyan Mountain in Jilin Province has a glass bridge roughly 100-meters from the ground. Last Friday, a Chinese tourist was left clinging to the railing after the bridge shattered. The bridge broke due to high winds which authorities say winds reached speeds of 150km/h

The man was stuck for 30 minutes before rescue crews were able to reach and bring him back. There were no injuries reported however, the man was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

Glass bridges have become very popular for tourism over the last decade. Zhangjiajie is the most famous glass bridge in China as it is six meters wide and 430-meters long. It can hold up to 800 people and reaches over a 300-meter drop.
