    On Tuesday, General Motors announced its $2 billion electric vehicle partnership with startup Nikola. 

    GM will own 11 per cent of the Phoenix company and build Nikola’s Badger hydrogen fuel cell and an electric pickup truck, which is expected to come out by the end of 2022. 

    The new deal sets up GM with a new revenue stream, essentially becoming a parts supplier to other companies for all-electric vehicle components.
