Hundreds of Android users had to deal with their system crashing unexpectedly on Monday. Following these crash issues, Google released a new operating system to cancel out the bug. They also released a statement saying that the problem with Gmail has been resolved.
The statement went on to explain that, “We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better”
The bug mainly affected newer models of androids but some older models were also affected. Samsung addressed the issue on social media, a provided a fix that was already widely circulated on reddit.
As of today google has updated the ‘Android System Webview’ and has recommended that all users download the update.
