Montreal Canadiens defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-1 on Sunday to extend their series lead to 3-0. Joel Armia had two goals and one assist, and Carey Price made 26 saves to help seal this victory. Corry Perry, Atturi Lehkonen, and Nick Suzuki all got one goal for the Canadiens. Adam Lowry from the Winnipeg Jets was their only goal scorer and Connor Hellebuyck was able to make 28 stops.

The Canadiens have not trailed in a game since losing game 4 against Toronto. This is also their first time leading a series 3-0 since 2015. 2,500 towel-waving fans were welcomed in the arena as they supported their team to victory.

The Jets were missing their number one centre Mark Scheifele who is serving a four-game suspension. However, they were able to get Paul Stasny back after he missed the first two games with an undisclosed injury. There have only been four teams that have come back from a 3-0 deficit to win an NHL playoff series.
